Students enrolled in Queens College’s BBA program will learn the foundational skills needed for the modern business world through rigorous coursework, internships and extracurricular activities.
The BBA program allows students to pursue rewarding careers or graduate study with a major in one of three areas:
Finance
Students interested in Finance will become fluent in the language and mechanics of the global banking industry.
International Business
Those on the international business track will become dynamic problem-solvers able to navigate the challenges of multinational trade, finance and economic development.
Actuarial Studies
Students pursuing Actuarial Studies will gain the mathematics and professional knowledge needed to pass the profession’s exams.
Along with a strong foundation in Business Administration, students at Queens College will receive a well-rounded liberal arts education to develop quantitatively, writing and interpersonal skills that prepare them for the challenges of global business.

Scholarship Opportunities
Queens College and the Department of Economics also offer thousands of dollars’ worth of competitive scholarships every year, including:
- $2,500 Business Forum Scholarship for Sophomores & Juniors

Declaring Your Major
Students typically apply to declare the Bachelor of Business Administration during their second or third year of study at Queens College. Students may apply after completing four core courses ECON101 Microeconomics, ECON102 Macroeconomics, ACCT101 ACCOUNTING and ACCT102 ACCOUNTING. In each of the four core courses, students must have a grade of C- or better, with an average of B- (GPA 2.7) or better. Students must maintain a 2.7 GPA in their studies to graduate with the BBA. Students should confirm current requirements to declare the GPA in the Queens College Undergraduate Bulletin, speak with an academic advisor or the Department of Economics.
Global Student Success Program
Queens College Global Student Success Program (GSSP) is a required first-year experience program designed by academic experts covering all aspects of your new living and learning environment in the U.S. As a Queens College student from day one, you will enjoy the added benefits of smaller classes where you will receive more personalized attention, and access to academic advisors and tutoring as well as opportunities to connect with other international and American students through a variety of social activities, student clubs and organizations.
Students who enter Queens College and are required to participate in the GSSP will take a structured first year of academic coursework that will best prepare them for success in the Bachelor of Business Administration. GSSP students will also be well prepared for other Queens College majors should they decide to pursue a different major after their arrival at Queens College.
